Go Bowling at the Glen
Stage 1
Shane Van Gisbergen secured the pole to Go Bowling at the Glen. Within 13 laps of the green flag, he had put a nearly four-second lead on the field. After SVG took to the pits before the close of the opening stage, Ross Chastain took the lead and the stage win.
Stage 2
Stage 2 saw SVG out front again, but within a few laps, Connor Zilisch was starting to sneak into the picture. The first caution for an incident came on Lap 61 as a tent blew onto the track.
Heck of a job by the @NASCARONFOX cameraman here.

During the caution, the No. 71 team of Michael McDowell opted to stay on track and lead the field to the restart. Before completing the lap, a big shake-up occurred when William Byron went for a spin. Despite the collection of a handful of cars, the race stayed green. With three to go, SVG reclaimed the lead and the Stage 2 win.
Stage 3
The final stage started with SVG out front. Joey Logano brought out the next caution when he lost a tire. With 32 to go, SVG had four seconds on the field. Green flag pit stops shook up the field and resulted in Zilisch and Ty Gibbs battling for the lead coming to 10 to go.
After Zilisch took to the pits, SVG easily passed Gibbs and set sail for the win.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
SVG’s comeback – making up nearly 30 seconds in 18 laps, to win by over seven seconds – was certainly impressive. However, someone else caught our eye in Watkins Glen to get the Rich MARvelous Move this week.

The Rich MARvelous Move of the Race is voted on by Pit Pass Network staff following the NASCAR Cup Series race.
Entering Watkins Glen, John Hunter Nemechek had an average finish of 26.5 at the track.
After starting P17, JHN finished the opening stage in P6. He was forced to the rear for the start of Stage 2 after having a crew member over the wall too early.
However, in the final stage, he followed the same strategy as SVG. He opted not to pit on Lap 60 with the majority of the field, and instead waited 16 more laps and came in with SVG.
He returned to the track in P30 with 23 to go and worked his way through the field. Ultimately, this call allowed him to end the day in P10.
Not only was it his best finish at the track, but it also marked his first top 10 of the season.
