Roulette Recap follows a randomly selected driver throughout a race to break down their efforts. There is no telling ahead of time how the race will go. The driver could face calamity on the opening lap or start from the rear and win the race. With that, may the odds be ever in the driver’s favor.

Driver: Logan Bearden
Organization & Number: Young’s Motorsports, #42
Crew Chief: Andrew Abbott
Spotter: TJ Bell
Qualified: P32 – rained out, lineup set by the rulebook
Stage 1
Logan Bearden came to Nashville Superspeedway, ready for his third NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start of the season. He had two prior starts at the 1.333-mile track, with an average start of P37 and an average finish of 27.5.
Bearden immediately found himself three wide but managed to maintain his starting position. By Lap 4, the field started to single out. Spotter TJ Bell told his driver to “settle in.” Crew Chief Andrew Abbott said, “Good times…that lap was faster than the next six.”
Two laps later, he was once again three wide, but gained two spots by Lap 13. Bearden was quiet on the radio, while Abbott noted that he was running his fastest lap of the race.
He claimed P29 on Lap 17 while still running “decent” lap times. Five laps later, Bearden noted he was “really tight.”
Following this, it was a race to stay on the lead lap as leader Jesse Love put a six-plus second lead on the field.
With two to go, Love passed Bearden, as did Cleetus McFarland. McFarland got loose, and Bearden took advantage of the bobble to stay in the Lucky Dog spot. The stage ended as McFarland went for a spin. Bearden was scored P29.

Stage 2
Following a pit stop for fuel, tires, and adjustments, he was scored back on the lead lap in P28. He held his ground through a quiet second stage. He kept the leaders behind him and remained on the lead lap to close out the stage.
Under caution, he noted he had been playing with the brake bias to see what he could do, and from there, Abbott called for a round of changes.
Stage 3
A mistake-filled pit stop and a second trip down pit road had Bearden lined up P27 for the final stage. After losing a spot in the early laps, Bearden said, “Just way too loose.”
On Lap 122, Bearden was able to gain a position as Love took to the pits with a loose wheel.
Green flag stops began on Lap 144, and the No. 42 team finalized a plan to pit. Once Bearden lost the Lucky Dog spot, Abbott called his driver to his stall.

With 25 to go, Bearden was told, “We’re basically going to finish where we’re going to finish.” He was instructed to bring it home clean. He did note they fired off the best he had all night, but he was on the splitter.
Bearden finished the night P26. He thanked his team for the opportunity, saying, “Always fun driving your cars.”
