Note: Since three NASCAR Cup Series regulars qualified ahead of P13, we counted to the NCTS regular who qualified 13th – Landen Lewis in P16.

Stage 1

As the leaders took the race three-wide in the opening laps, Landen Lewis jumped two spots but ultimately settled for P15. He maintained his position through the Lap 14 caution. This yellow occurred when Donovan Strauss went for a spin.

Despite running hot and Lewis not being entirely happy with his truck, crew chief Phil Gould opted to keep his driver on track.

Lewis got an early run on the restart to gain a position, but fell back to P16 as the run ran long. From there, the bad luck continued as Lewis fell to P20.

With eight to go, Lewis was promised that changes were coming, and he managed to stay on the lead lap to close out the stage.

With the green-white-checkered flag in the air, he told his team, “Just plowing tight in the center. No drive off.”

Stage 2

Despite a solid stop, Lewis was forced to restart from the rear after having too many men over the wall. He restarted from P26 and quickly gained two spots.

He gained another after getting around Tyler Ankrum and was sitting in P23 when Luke Baldwin went for a spin.

Lewis was much happier after this run, but still, Gould opted to bring his driver to the pits for another swing at the No. 45 machine.

He sat P21 with 12 to go in the stage. Drivers took the action three wide after a mixed bag of pit strategy. He quickly broke out of the top 20 and was scored P16 when the stage ended.

Stage 3

To start the final stage, Lewis lined up P11, and after running three wide, he jumped to P8. After a few more laps, he gained one more spot.

His luck began to turn around as he passed Layne Riggs for P6.

After a few laps, Riggs reclaimed his spot. However, Lewis raced smart and hard, and with less than 10 to go, he got around Gio Ruggiero for P5 and was told, “Your [Turns] 1 and 2 are perfect.”

He held his ground to finish day P5.

Gould said, “That’s what championship days are made of.”

Lewis’ finish marked his fourth top 10 finish out of his five starts for Niece Motorsports in 2026. Additionally, it was his third top five in a row.
