Cook Out 400

Ryan Blaney continued his pole-winning ways, securing his fifth pole of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Season. He lined up next to Chase Briscoe to start the Cook Out 400.

Stage 1

Blaney and Briscoe battled door-to-door for the first eight laps. At that time, Blaney finally broke away from Briscoe. Josh Berry stole P2 while Blaney extended his lead on the field.

On Lap 31, Joey Logano started green-flag stops.  After everyone cycled and penalties were served, Blaney reclaimed the lead.

As the opening stage came to a close, Blaney claimed the win.

Stage 2

The same duo started the second stage, which was double the length of the opening stage. This time, Briscoe got the upper hand.

During green-flag stops, the first caution for incident came when Zane Smith went for a spin. Shortly before the caution, Blaney had stolen the lead; however, this caution put Briscoe back in P1.

The second round of stops started on Lap 160. Thirteen laps later, Logano took the lead as more drivers took to the pits.

Some teams opted to do three stops during this segment, and with 30 to go, those stops began. When the green-white-checkered flag waved, Logano had a nearly nine-second lead on the field.

Stage 3

Logano brought the field to green for the final stretch of the race, and behind him, drivers went three-wide. He and Briscoe went door-to-door for multiple laps, with Briscoe ultimately winning out.

With 124 to go in the race, another round of green-flag stops began. Mid-cycle, the caution waved as Carson Hocevar slowed on track.

Briscoe was back out front for the restart, which went squirrely but managed to stay green.

With 38 to go, the leaders took to the pits one last time, with Logano winning the race off pit road. But before Logano could think about the win, he needed to get around Christopher Bell. He did that with 25 laps remaining.

However, Logano couldn’t breathe easy yet. Less than half a second behind him was Briscoe, who had put all his chips on the waxing crescent moon.

In the closing laps, Briscoe made multiple attempts at passing Logano. But in the end, he couldn’t get the run he needed, and Logano brought home the win.

Rich MARvelous Move of the Race

The Cook Out 400 Rich MARvelous Move happened on pit road during green-flag stops on Lap 180.

The Rich MARvelous Move of the Race is voted on by the Pit Pass Network staff following the NASCAR Cup Series race.

Austin Cindric was coming into his pit stall at the same time Daniel Suarez was leaving his. Cindric’s stall was directly in front of Suarez’s.

In a true heads-up move, the two never collided, and the No. 2 team made a move that allowed Suarez to go under the air hose rather than over.

Kudos to Autin, Daniel, and the No. 2 team!
